Welcome to Skein Queen!
The Skein Queen has been busy in her royal workshop in deepest Berkshire producing magnificent hand dyed yarns for your perusal. She aims to create resplendent, luxurious yarns for knitting or crochet projects or just to add to your stash and admire until you get around to using it!
I love colour, knitting and hand dyeing. Dyeing yarn is the ultimate experiment in colour - seeing how the colours blend during the process, how different yarn types take up the dye, how the colours magically mix up during reskeining and finally how they knit up into the finished project.
I currently use Etsy to sell my yarns - pop over and take a look. If you haven't already visited Etsy before, prepare to pull up a chair and spend a good few hours trawling through some exquisite handmade crafts and arts. You can register for free as a buyer and it doesn't take long.
Each colourway is hand painted in batches of one to four skeins, all my recipes are in my head and I like to judge by eye, so it is advisable to buy all the yarn you need for a particular project. Although, if you do see anything you like in the galleries, custom orders are very welcome and I can reproduce colourways fairly closely. Custom orders usually take from three to seven days and I offer a small discount on shop prices for the same colourway.
